Here’s my Top 8 Black Friday sales to shop for Wardrobe Staples

November 27, 2020

Every single year we gather together the day after giving thanks for what we have... and we decide we want more. This year however, on my list for "Black Friday" shopping I only have basics I know I'll use again and again until a zipper explodes, the hems fall apart to the point of no tailor's visit and the soles fall off.

Yes, shopping (for myself and personal shopping clients) is a big part of my life. It's my feel-good moment of the month... or week. After the quarantine started, I dedicated myself to purge my entire closet, explore new shapes and silhouettes and radically expose the person I am on the inside, to the outside world. So far it has been working and even though I've never had a big wardrobe, I still find items I bought solely because of a trend. What I noticed was lacking from my closet, was the typical "wardrobe essentials" we hear about all the time.

Having "nothing to wear" seems like our eternal conflict, but to say the truth, it could be solved by finding the closet staples that compliment the statement items you already own.
