High Quality SPFs You Can Find at Marshalls

April 16, 2019
Hi budget cuties!

Can we all agree? Marshall's is THE place to shop. I don't care (and frankly, neither do you...) if you're a trust-fund kid or a working class babe, we all have one guilty pleasure in this world, and that is MARSHALL's.

The one thing I will not apologize for on this blogpost is the fact that I call myself "The Bold Budget" and when I'm at Marshall's I lose all my self-control and yes, I spend BOLDLY and honestly, the budget part IS there, except when you sum it all up. And I know it happens to you too.

So Spring Break and those long weekends are ahead of us (a lot of countries to SB at different times, and this is Puerto Rico's time-a-year) and all I can think about is how to take the care of my skin now that I know I'll be under the sun more than usual.

I do wear SPF (Sun Protection Factor) on a daily basis, but now... I'll need it more than ever. There are different types of SPFs and ways to apply them, but I usually wear one for the face and another one for the rest of the body, so I decided to show you those High-Quality SPFs and where you can find them for the best prices.

Starting with Pacifica's Body Butter SPF in Blood Orange, which usually retails for $14.00, I found this one for only $5 and ever since I did, I knew it was a perfect match. As a person who doesn't tan (not by choice, the sun hates me) I tend to be a little pale, even with my naturally tanned skin. I'll be honest, the only thing I like about tanning my already tanned skin is the natural glow I get, and with this SPF you get the sun tanned glow AND a tropical smell. (Plus, what you came here for, SPF 50 with 80 minutes of water resistance)

- It's also vegan and cruelty free.

Let's talk about Supergoop, right now this is my favorite brand for sun protection, BUT I will have to acknowledge that it isn't on everyone's budget. So, thank you Marshall's for this holy grail find! This originally retails for $24-34.00, (mind you, I have the BIG one) and even though it is a big bottle I still don't feel the need to buy this continuously given the price. I mean, I do wear SPF everyday... that's a lot of money. I found this at Marshall's for $12.99, and even though it's still not super low price, it's my favorite SPF $11 cheaper. That's a bargain, to be honest.

- Best thing about it is that it isn't the usual lotion-y gooey feel SPFs usually have, this one is a muse-y texture, so even my boyfriend who HATES SPF, mainly because he hates lotions, likes this one.

So in case it wasn't obvious already, I do love Supergoop, and after I found this 2-in-1 sunscreen and lip balm combo at Frangipani Miami for $19.00 (and it's a small bottle, it's just really high quality SPF... I don't know how to explain it!) I knew I had to find a cheaper alternative without hurting my skin, then I walked into Marshall's. Found it for $7.00. You're welcome.

- It's SPF 50 for the face and SPF 30 for the lips. My favorite lip balm, too.

Now, this one technically isn't a sunscreen, but it does contain SPF. I love this Murad Skincare Balancing Moisturizer I've been trying out for the past few weeks, the best part? It's originally $40.00 over at Murad's website, and I only spent $14.00 on it. It is a lotion-y texture, but it sinks onto your skin super fast and without the white residue. Could be worth the $40.00, I'm just not spending them. Overall a great everyday product if you don't like having a long skincare routine.
